During the 3rd anniversary Celebration Live Stream for 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim earlier today, the hosts introduced the sci-fi adventure game by Vanillaware by revealing its latest sales milestone.
It was confirmed that 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim has sold over 800k copies worldwide. The previously announced milestone was 500k copies last year on November 28, 2021.
Following last year’s sales number was the Nintendo Switch release in April 2022, along with the “Value Pack” released in Japan in August 2022. The Switch release had debuted with 27k copies sold in Japan during its first week,
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim initially debuted in Japan on November 28, 2019 with 35k sales, with director George Kamitani expressing regret at the middling performance. Since then, the game had gained strong word of mouth and has continued to sell.
