BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Placeholder Announcer Files After Update Includes More Persona 4 Arena Characters

The major update, version 1.5, for the cross-over fighting game BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle was released today, and a datamine has revealed several unreleased characters named by the system announcer.

New characters from each series represented in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle are included in these sound files, including ones from Persona 4 Arena and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax.

Because of the large number of characters, it is likely that most of these files are placeholders, and are not representative of future DLC for the game. However, they could also be indicative of the possible characters that will be part of any further content updates.

Currently, there are no characters who only appeared in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax included in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle.

Along with a previous datamine for the game last year which correctly revealed upcoming DLC, “Senran Kagura” was one of the represented series by the system announcer, with Asuka and Yumi being the named characters.

“En-Eins Perfektewelt” currently has no representation in BBTAG. A “sixth fate”—a franchise—had previously been teased after the addition of the fifth one, Arcana Heart.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle was released for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC in Japan on May 31, 2018, in North America on June 5, 2018, and in Europe on June 22, 2018.
