This week’s issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine #1432 will contain an Etrian Odyssey V: The End of the Long Myth feature, following the previous one two weeks ago.
This time, the feature will contain new information about the game’s “Class Change” mechanic, as well as details of the “Legendary Names” for five classes: Dragoon, Reaper, Warlock, Masurao and Herbalist.
The “Class Change” mechanic is teased to “cross the boundaries of the races,” hinting at classes being able to be assigned to races other than the specific ones that have been revealed up until now.
As detailed previously with details on the “Legendary Names” for the Fencer class—when certain requirements are met—a class will reach mastery and at that point, a player is able to choose among one of two “Legendary Names” to give the character. This will grant them with Mastery Skills that change based on the “Legendary Name” that was chosen.
Warlock “Legendary Names” will involve strengthening their attributes, while Herbalists will have an option to specialize in healing skills.
The regular “SQ TIMES” regular interview series will be returning, this time with series art director Hiroshi Sasazu, with contributions from popular cartoonist Namori (responsible for “YuruYuri), who is an Etrian Odyssey and Shin Megami Tensei fan.
The May 26, 2016 edition of Famitsu—or issue #1432—will be releasing in Japan on May 12, 2016.
Etrian Odyssey V: The End of the Long Myth will be released for the Nintendo 3DS on August 4, 2016 in Japan.
