Persona 5

  • Strain42

So we’ve currently got nearly 70 bucks worth of DLC? Jeez, we’re spending more to get some costumes, Personas, and battle tunes that we are on the game itself.

    • freelancepolicefan11

If you want all of it. It’s all just cosmetic entertainment (for the most part), so I don’t see a big issue.

      • Strain42

I dunno, maybe I’m just being “entitled” here, but it’s BECAUSE it’s all just cosmetic entertainment that it seems so crazy that it’s all nearly 70 bucks. I’d happily pay 7 bucks or more for some extra story of some kind, but for a single set of costumes…just seems high to me.

      • Clark

You’re cancer, cause of ppl like you we keep getting bullshit cosmetic DLC.

        • freelancepolicefan11

          Damn straight.

        • Kahntrast

But that’s a good thing. If you don’t want it, just don’t buy it.

    • Neuee

And we’re lucky it’s not story-related DLC. These costumes and music are not relevant to P5’s story.

And Japan already have these DLCs for half a year so I see no reason it shouldn’t be available right away.

      • alx_hollow

Yeah, but they got it for free on launch

        • Gabriella Creighton

Anything they got for free, we are.

      • Trevor Cook

Oh god day one story DLC that’s priced no one can defend that!

        • ScottyWired
          • Trevor Cook

Oh I remember they did that!

        • James Jeans

I think you could easily defend it in this case: the game has been out since September in Japan. If the DLC had launched in Japan in, say, January, and it launched here day-and-date, I don’t see the issue.

        • James Jeans

Also, Mass Effect 3 quite easily got away with doing this (day-and-date DLC that was free for pre-orders of the special edition, but everyone else had to buy it).

    • Edgar

No one said “Buy them all” xD
Just choose a costume set you like, or some persona… I don’t like the prices so I think I won’t buy any.
We lack some japanese DLC. I would have bought some of those.

      • Strain42

They did say they’ve got more to announce as far as DLC goes. I don’t think they’ll be neglecting any of it. Honestly after we got the Lawson Dancing All Night costumes, it’s hard to imagine Atlus leaving out any DLC for Persona.

  • globspeed

At least I won’t be tempted to get Izanagi straight away and break the first boss battle with it.

    • Cecil Harvey

      my thoughts exactly.

  • Vallen

What is the other DLC Japan has that we aren’t getting (or isn’t announced for us yet)?

    • Gabriella Creighton

Nothing. We’re getting a ton of the same free promos but those will be packaged with the release. People are just trying to stir the pot.

  • NoctisOugiBoogie

Are they real now? You greedy basterds. At least give us some free dlc like Japan got..

    • Gabriella Creighton

Some of the DLC listed is free. We’re also getting more free DLC with the release, they announced that when the game got delayed. :/

      • NoctisOugiBoogie

The only one that is free is the swimsuit DLC which is the worst of them all. I don’t remember anything being for free except the ryuji theme but hope you are right

  • forgot

Jesus that’s a whole video game worth of content for some costumes.

  • Gabriella Creighton

People need to do their research. The DLC listed here was not free in Japan. They got other DLC for free which we’re also getting free.

Irony behind posters calling Atlus greedy then weaving tall tales about free stuff. :)

    • Clark

Swimsuits are free on the JP PSN store, I suggest you do that research you’ve been barking about. :)

      • Jonathan Cummings

Umm, dude, they’re free here too. Don’t be cocky towards someone if you can’t even read the article you’re commenting on.

        • Gabriella Creighton

Yeah, that loser is on my block list. I love it when they think they’re clever but show they entirely missed the point.

      • Gabriella Creighton

Pfft, read the article. Swimsuits are free here too. Way to prove my point.

        • Clark

What are you retarded? You said ” The DLC listed here was not free in Japan” after I educated you that the swimsuits are free you tried to take back your autistic comment and act like you knew they were free all a long. Dumb ass mothafucka learn to think.

          • Gabriella Creighton

Such bullshit. You looked for the one exception when people are claiming the rest of the stuff is free and are trying to use it as a sarcastic attempt to rebutt. Grow up. You’re a complete moron if you thought this somehow undoes everything else. Child.

          • Persona_Central

Petulant, unnecessarily vulgar language and personal insults will not be tolerated. Do not repeat this again.

      • alx_hollow

Yep, I got Izanagi for free at the jpn psn

    • Rodrigo

Catherine DLC was free… for a limited time.
It was even announced here on Persona Central
      http://personacentral.com/new-persona-5-dlc-costumes-announced/

  • Clark

Man those atlus bastards are money hungry assholes, first they delay the game for multiple times THEN this? Least they could have done is lowered the damn price on some of em or something. They don’t give a fuck about the persona fans in the west.

    • Mr.Sammich

First, Atlus is a company that exists for the sole purpose of making money. They are not a charity or non-profit organization. Second, a delay makes them no more money, and in fact just costs them money. If a game is delayed, it needs to be delayed. Third, in Japan these DLC cost 800 yen for costumes and 300 yen for Personas. That equates to about… 7.00 and 3.00 in USD respectively. They’ve given their fans in the west the same price as their fans in the east.

      • Lusankya

That’s right, although I think in the past they usually had lower prices for the DLCs in the West?
I wonder how the prices will be in Europe. Hopefully they don’t just switch the $ sign with the € sign.

  • Zepler

I think I’ll get Gekkou and Opheus.

    But man, is it pricey!

  • Dio

They fucked up. I was expecting the costume/OST pack being at 3.99 and the Picaro Personas at 1.99 (I got close here).

I had interest in buying all of them but not at these prices. Maybe I buy Thanathos Picaro and that’s it. I hope that they made a Pack with all of the DLC at $20 or some good offers.

    These prices are so high.

  • The Man Who Sold The World

    Atlus go and ***** yourselves.
$7 for a new bgm? Are they real here?

P5’s main battle is so ear bleeding awful that pretty much need to buy one of these.

    • Paladin Joe

You are very much in the minority there with that opinion. Battle theme is great imo.

    • Joshua Shaw

Ear bleeding and awful? That’s a paddlin’.

  • James Jeans

Jesus, the asking prices for costume/music sets are off the chart. $7.99 for a couple of costumes and a battle theme? Fucking Christ, Atlus.

    • Centipede

Lol the best part is that the DLC is locked on the disc, we have to pay money to unlock it.

  • Jordan Erbaugh

    I need that Catherine DLC

  • Centipede

DLC is locked on the disc and they are charging this much lol.
