Following Persona 4 Revival‘s announcement last year and the key art’s leak, the latest trailer for the P4 remake has been shown during the XBOX Games Showcase 2026.
The trailer features the first extended gameplay look at P4R, including a new song, revamped graphics, and gameplay mechanics. The February 18, 2027 release date has been revealed, and the game will be released on Xbox Series, PS5 and Steam.
The official Japanese website and the English one have also been updated with new information. One of the details includes the new music, with Shiori Sasaki confirmed as the new vocalist (from the original being Shihoko Hirata) and Ryota Kozuka as the composer.

New Mechanics
Baton Pass
During a 1 MORE, you can use Baton Pass to pass your turn onto an ally. This comes in handy in situations where you want to target a different enemy’s weakness, making it easier to coordinate with your allies to knock down enemies.
Send Flying
When there are two or more Shadows present, landing a normal attack on a Shadow that is afflicted with a status ailment has a chance of “sending them flying.” If the knocked-back Shadow collides with another Shadow, it deals damage while also spreading the ailment.
Prime Time
Activates when the gauge filled during battle reaches its maximum. During this mode, you get a series of consecutive actions, all skill costs are eliminated, enemy resistances are ignored, and Baton Pass is freely available. Top it all off with a flashy “Series Finale” that deals massive damage. It’s all upside – so when that gauge fills up, don’t hesitate to use it!
