The 26th episode of Persona 5 the Animation received a brand new, complete version of its second opening, featuring the theme “Dark Sun” by vocalist Lyn.
The second opening for the anime debuted in its second cour, with episode 14. It reused animation from scenes in the show, updated gradually as new members of the Phantom Thieves were added.
The 26th episode is being labelled the “last episode” of Persona 5 the Animation by the creators through social media, despite receiving a new opening:

There had been 12 volumes of the anime listed for release by Japanese retailer Animate, with volume 9 including episodes 22, 23, and 24.
