New Persona 5 Related Domain Name Potentially Discovered: ‘P5T’

0

Since 2017, Atlus has used their marketing business partner Ryu’s Office to register standalone domain names for their upcoming titles.

The first slew of these domain names registered in April/May 2017 included a number of games that would eventually be announced, including:

  • P3D (Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight)
  • P5D (Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight)
  • PQ2 (Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth)
  • P5R (Persona 5 Royal)

Subsequently, in late 2018, a number of additional Persona related domain names were registered, including the following before its announcement:

  • P5S (Persona 5 Strikers)

In December 2021, Atlus began to hide the registrant information for their newer domains, preventing a list of newly registered ones attached to Ryu’s Office from appearing. Because of this, new domain names need to be manually searched for.

Today it’s been discovered by Twitter user @MbKKssTBhz5 that one such potentially Persona-related domain name is “P5T.JP.” This domain was created last week on May 16, 2023. The registrant information is hidden, as with other new domains including P5S.JP or MEGATEN5.JP.

There are currently several other Persona related domains since 2017 and 2018 which have not become actual projects:

  • P3RE (registered in March 2023)
  • P5U
  • P5B
  • P5M
  • PERSONA6
  • PERSONA8
  • PERSONA9
  • PERSONA10

It remains to be seen whether or not “P5T” will see the light of day as a Persona project or not.

As a point of reference, here are spin-off ideas Atlus has expressed an interest in through their 2022 annual consumer survey:

  1. Persona series card game
  2. Persona series online RPG
  3. Persona series new rhythm action game
  4. Persona series new action RPG
  5. Persona series text-based adventure game
  6. Persona series board game
  7. Persona series strategy RPG
  8. Persona series action adventure game
  9. Persona 5 fighting game
