Most Popular Persona Series Female Party Members According to 2022 Japanese Poll

From April 27th to May 4th, the Japanese Netorabo Survey Team conducted a questionnaire with the following question: “[Persona] Tell me your favorite female companion character!”

The survey received 2,336 responses in total, and the top 22 characters for this poll can be seen below.

22nd Place: Metis (5 Votes)

Calling herself Aigis’ “sister,” Metis was first introduced in the epilogue chapter of Persona 3 FES: “The Answer.”

21st Place: Yuka Ayase (8 Votes)

A St. Hermelin High School student, Yuka appears in Revelations: Persona.

20th Place: Yukino Mayuzumi (11 Votes)

One of the party members from Revelations: Persona, Yukino later appears in Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment.

19th Place: Ulala Serizawa (17 Votes)

A boxer and lingerie saleswoman, Ulala first appears in Persona 2: Innocent Sin, becoming a party member in Eternal Punishment.

18th Place: Maki Sonomura (20 Votes)

Hospitalized due to being frail, Maki is one of the characters at the core of Revelations: Persona who later makes an appearance in the Persona 2 duology.

17th Place: Lisa Silverman (28 Votes)

Student of Seven Sisters High School and kung fu enthusiast, Lisa is one of the party members in Persona 2: Innocent Sin, also making an appearance in Eternal Punishment.

16th Place: Eriko Kirishima (32 Votes)

First introduced in Revelations: Persona, Eriko later appears in the Persona 2 duology, and again as a party member in Eternal Punishment.

15th Place: Maya Amano (41 Votes)

A cheerful and important party member in Persona 2: Innocent Sin, Maya is the main character of Eternal Punishment.

14th Place: Fuuka Yamagishi (43 Votes)

A student of Gekkoukan High School, Fuuka is the demure navigator of SEES who first appears in Persona 3. She later makes appearances in the Persona 4 ArenaPersona Q, and Persona Dancing games.

13th Place: Yukari Takeba (50 Votes)

Yukari is a headstrong archer first appearing in Persona 3. She later makes appearances in the Persona 4 ArenaPersona Q, and Persona Dancing games.

12th Place: Yukiko Amagi (76 Votes)

Yukiko Amagi - Persona 4 Golden

Heir to the Amagi Inn, Yukiko first appeared in Persona 4. She later makes appearances in the Persona 4 ArenaPersona Q, and Persona Dancing games. She also appeared as a cameo in Persona 3 Portable.

11th Place: Mitsuru Kirijo (77 Votes)

Heir to the Kirijo Group, Mitsuru first appeared in Persona 3. She later makes appearances in the Persona 4 ArenaPersona Q, and Persona Dancing games.

10th Place: Haru Okumura (94 Votes)

Heir to Okumura Foods, Haru (code name: Noir) first appeared in Persona 5. She later makes appearances in Persona 5: Dancing in StarlightPersona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth, and Persona 5 Strikers.

9th Place: Ann Takamaki (97 Votes)

Classmate of the main character’s at Shujin Academy and model, Ann (code name: Panther) first appeared in Persona 5. She later makes appearances in Persona 5: Dancing in StarlightPersona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth, and Persona 5 Strikers.

8th Place: Aigis (111 Votes)

An Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon, Aigis devotes herself to protecting the main character, first appearing in Persona 3. She was the main character in the epilogue chapter of Persona 3 FES: “The Answer.” She later makes appearances in the Persona 4 ArenaPersona Q, and Persona Dancing games.

7th Place: Persona 3 Protagonist (114 Votes)

The female counterpart to the original Persona 3 main character, first appearing in Persona 3 Portable. She later appears in Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth as a party member.

6th Place: Rise Kujikawa (137 Votes)

A first-year at Yasogami High School and an idol, Rise acts as the Investigation Team’s navigator, first appearing in Persona 4. She later makes appearances in the Persona 4 ArenaPersona Q, and Persona Dancing games. She also makes a cameo appearance in Persona 5.

5th Place: Naoto Shirogane (163 Votes)

A first-year at Yasogami High School and a detective, Naoto first appeared in Persona 4. She later makes appearances in the Persona 4 ArenaPersona Q, and Persona Dancing games.

4th Place: Chie Satonaka (190 Votes)

Yukiko Amagi’s best friend, meat lover, and kung fu enthusiast, Chie is a second-year at Yasogami High School who first appeared in Persona 4. She later makes appearances in the Persona 4 ArenaPersona Q, and Persona Dancing games.

3rd Place: Futaba Sakura (250 Votes)

Socially anxious genius, Futaba (code name: Oracle) acts as the navigator of the Phantom Thieves, first appearing in Persona 5. She later makes appearances in Persona 5: Dancing in StarlightPersona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth, and Persona 5 Strikers.

In the most recent PlayStation Japan poll, Futaba was previously ranked the second most popular female Persona 5 party member.

2nd Place: Kasumi Yoshizawa (301 Votes)

A rhythmic gymnast with a complicated past, Shujin Academy first-year Kasumi (code name: Violet) first appeared in Persona 5 Royal.

Kasumi received 301 votes, or 12.9% of the total votes cast.

1st Place: Makoto Niijima (391 Votes)

Third-year student council president at Shujin Academy, Makoto (code name: Queen) first appeared in Persona 5.

Makoto received 391 votes, or 16.7% of the total votes cast.

In the most recent PlayStation Japan poll, Makoto was also ranked the most popular female Persona 5 party member.
