The PlayStation Partner Awards were held today on December 1, 2023. Starting in 1994, the award show is an annual event to honor creators and award hit titles released on the PlayStation platform.

Three titles are awarded the Grand Award, seven titles are awarded the Partner Award, three titles are awarded the Special Award and five titles are awarded the user voted Users’ Choice Award.

Persona 5 Royal was awarded the Users’ Choice Award, a user-voted award with nominees selected from the top 30 most played games between October 2022 and September 2023.

Persona Team production manager Kazuhisa Wada released a comment upon receiving the award:

Thank you very much for awarding us this prestigious award. With the release of the remastered version, as a team we couldn’t be happier that more customers have played the game and given us their support. Persona 5 Royal has long been loved by customers since it’s release in 2019, and I believe that we as the development team need to repay the favor by delivering works that can surpass this game to as many people as possible. We would appreciate your continued support. I would now like to savour this joy with all the staff involved in making the game.

Persona 5 Royal previously won the Partner Award in 2020, and Persona 5 has won awards for four years in a row between 2016 and 2019:
