[Rumor] Persona 3 Remake Footage via Internal Sega Japan Meeting Video Leaked

Earlier this year, Atlus teased that the company would have several unannounced games planned for 2023. In response to this, Resetera forum user lolilolailo, vetted as an insider by the website’s moderators, claimed the existence of a Persona 3 remake. This is the same user who had previously leaked the existence of Persona 3 PortablePersona 4 Golden, and Persona 5 Royal on Xbox Game Pass.

Recently, a video has leaked showing off what seems to be footage of that previously rumored Persona 3 remake. It depicts Yukari Takeba summoning her persona, Io, and shooting arrows at an enemy. The models depicted in the four-second video are of high quality, and seemingly differ from the 3D models featured in Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight.

Twitter user @AVtoGAMEnoYAMI (Update 2023-04-11: This account has since been deleted) uploaded this footage supposedly from a deleted Reddit post. Subsequently, this user stated that they were sent a direct message of a complete video that was part of a Sega Japan internal meeting held in 2021.

This complete video features not only the Persona 3 remake clip, but some from other games: Sonic FrontiersJet Set Radio, and a third unknown game.

The Sonic Frontiers footage is remarkable because it does not match any known existing footage from the game, with the featured boss in the final game having a different appearance.

The Jet Set Radio footage stands out because it matches artwork for the untitled game taken from a survey, with images that leaked in July 2022, via @SEGAbits.

This survey was taken and corroborated by several users, and did indeed feature artwork that resembles what is depicted in the leaked footage.

Alongside the rest possibly corroborating the existence of the Persona 3 remake, recently unearthed by Twitter user @MbKKssTBhz5 is the existence of a “P3RE.JP” domain name.

While the registrant is hidden and thus does not indicate its ownership, this domain name resembles other outstanding Atlus related domain names.

While nothing has been confirmed as of yet, the possibility of this Sega internal Japan meeting footage would further imply the existence of a Persona 3 remake, and how the game might end up looking like.

In the Atlus 2022 consumer survey, the Atlus titles fans wanted a remake of the most had Persona 3 and Persona 2 occupy the top spot with 78.9% of the votes.
