Sega Sammy Head Offices, Including Atlus’, to Move into a New Office in Fall 2018

Sega Sammy Holdings Inc.—currently located in the Tokyo metropolitan area—has announced that the head office functions related to the business side of some of its subsidiaries—including Atlus—will be moving to the south of Ōsaki Station in Fall 2018.

By consolidating the currently scattered headquarter functions of Sega Sammy’s individual groups within the current Canal Side Building, they aim to form more efficient group management. Additionally, they want to promote collaborations between companies for projects, lead to enhanced synergy, and revitalize the exchange of human resources.

The business headquarters for the following companies, which are planned to relocate, are the following:

  1. Sega Sammy Holdings Inc.
  2. Sammy Corporation Inc.
  3. Sega Holdings Inc.
  4. SEGA Games
  5. Atlus Co., Ltd.
  6. Sammy Networks Co., Ltd.
  7. Dartslive Co., Ltd.

The planned date for their relocation is Fall 2018.

New Destination

It will be a business building in “Nishi-shinagawa 1-Chome District Type 1 Urban Area Redevelopment Project.” What Sega Sammy is planning to use within the building will be eight floors, with an occupational office area of approximately 43,981 square meters.

  • Location: Nishi-shinagawa 1-Chome Shingawa-ku, Tokyo
  • Traffic: 6 minutes on foot from JR Ōsaki Station
  • Site Area: Approximately 19,927 square meters
  • Total Floor Area: About 177,990 square meters
  • Building Scale: 24 floors above ground, 2 basements below ground
  • Building Opening: Planned to begin service at the end of January 2018

Atlus Office

The current location of the head office for Atlus is:

Canal Side Building
1-39-9 Higashi Shinagawa, Shinagawa-ku
Tokyo 140-8583
Japan

While its office location in Japan is:

Sun Towers Center Building
2-11-22 Sangenjyaya, Setagaya-ku
Tokyo 154-0024
Japan

This move will likely not affect the current location of Atlus’ creative offices, which is the latter address.

“They want to promote collaborations between companies for projects” does this mean we’ll finally get Sonic in a Persona/SMT game? 8U

I hope this means Atlus is getting more funding or even more employees since Atlus really since them

This is nothing but a good thing. Not only does it mean that Sega Sammy has less costs to pay because its core businesses are under one roof as oppose to separate buildings, but Atlus has direct communication with Sega for assets and human resources. Expect more AAA Atlus games coming out more often.
