Shin Megami Tensei IV Final 11-minute Gameplay Video, Screenshots

Alongside the video Atlus released earlier of voice actors playing the beginning of Shin Megami Tensei IV Final, 4Gamer has released their own 11-minute gameplay video for the upcoming RPG.

Taking place in Tokyo in the year 203X, Shin Megami Tensei IV Final is a completely new story, while taking place in the same world as the previously released Shin Megami Tensei IV.

The war between gods is entering its final phase, with the Polytheistic Union lead by Krishna at the forefront.

Final features a number of gameplay improvements compared to its predecessor, as well as new additions. While this game takes the form of a sequel, the different characters and introductory elements such as the “Hunter Notes” which serve to explain terminology of the world makes it simple for new players who haven’t played the previous game to jump in.

The protagonist’s default name is “Nanashi,” replaced in the video when the game prompts players for their name to that of the author for the 4Gamer article, “Tokichiku.”

Shin Megami Tensei IV Final is slated to release for the Nintendo 3DS on February 10, 2016 in Japan.
