Shin Megami Tensei V Tops Sales Charts in Japan with 143k Copies Sold

Shin Megami Tensei V was released for the Nintendo Switch in Japan last week on November 11th, and sales tracker Famitsu reports that 143,247 total copies of the next mainline entry in the SMT series was sold during its first week in stores.

The Famitsu estimated sales data for SMT V in Japan are of sales ranging from November 8 to November 14, 2021.

Debuting at 143,247 copies sold (excluding digital sales), Shin Megami Tensei V representing the third strongest first week opening in Japan for the SMT series after Shin Megami Tensei IV for the Nintendo 3DS and Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne for the PS2.
