Atlus has announced that both Shin Megami Tensei V and the recently released Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance have reached over 1.6 million copies sold worldwide (including physical copies and digital downloads).
SMT V was originally released on November 11, 2021. In the United States, it had achieved the most dollar sales during the launch month of any Shin Megami Tensei game in history. Five months after launch and the game reached over 1 million copies sold worldwide in April 2022.
SMT VV was released on June 14, 2024. Including physical copies and digital sales, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance sold over 500,000 copies in three days after launch. Atlus attributes the sales to its multi-platform release and the positive critical reception.
