During the Xbox games Showcase, Project Re Fantasy was fully revealed as Metaphor: ReFantazio. It will release in 2024, on the currently announced platforms of Xbox Series X/S and Windows PC.
From the creators of Persona 3, Persona 4, and Persona 5 within the newest internal Atlus studio called Studio Zero, the director is Katsura Hashino, the character designer is Shiegnori Soejima, and the composer is Shoji Meguro.

Metaphor: ReFantazio (2024 Expected Release): From the creative minds of the Persona series – Metaphor: ReFantazio marks ATLUS’ first ever, full-scale fantasy RPG, brought to you by director Katsura Hashino, character designer Shigenori Soejima, and composer Shoji Meguro.
Write your destiny and rise above fear as you step into a fantasy world unlike anything you’ve seen before. Fraught with unsettling mystery, the kingdom stands on a precipice. Now, you must embark on a journey, overcoming obstacles and forging bonds with friends.

The former Persona Stalker Club talk show will be revived for a special episode to celebrate the announcement of Metaphor, the stream will broadcast on June 20, 2023 at 22:00 JST (6:00 AM PDT / 9:00 AM EDT / Other Time Zones).
It will feature Mafia Kajita and Tomomi Isomura, along with manga writer Sayawaka.

A short message from director Katsura Hashino has been released, with a transcript below:
Greetings, RPG fans from all around the world. I’m Hashino. Metaphor is a fantasy RPG being developed by the core development members of Persona 5. This is ATLUS’s first attempt at a large-scale fantasy game. Thus, instead of following the classic approach, we’re depicting a fantasy world from our own perspective. Releasing in 2024, please wait just a little longer for this new journey to begin.
