Persona 4 Golden for PC Sells Over 1 Million Copies on Steam

Earlier today was a report via the Atlus Fiscal Year Ended March 2021 financial statement reporting that the PC version of Persona 4 Golden had sold 900k copies as of March 31, 2021.

Now, Atlus West has announced that the Steam release of Persona 4 Golden has reached 1 million copies sold, ever since the game’s worldwide release last year on June 13, 2020.

This would mean that within the past 3 months from March 31, 2021 to June 30, 2021, P4G had sold 100k copies. Many of these copies were likely sold with the discount during this year’s Steam Summer Sale, which began on June 24th.

In August 2020, the Computer Entertainment Suppliers Association reported that the PlayStation Vita version of P4G, released 8 years ago at the time in Japan on June 14, 2012, had shipped 1.5 million copies worldwide (including digital sales). Combined with 1 million copies sold on Steam, Persona 4 Golden has sold a total of over 2.5 million copies worldwide.

Atlus had previously reported that there were 500k players on PC last year in July 2020, about one month after the game’s initial release.
